Make Trade Fair Live follows on from Oxfam’s Fairplay concert in 2002 which saw Chris Martin, Noel Gallagher and Ms Dynamite together on stage to raise awareness and funds for Oxfam’s Make Trade Fair campaign.

Make Trade Fair Live has been organised by Oxfam to highlight the impact of unfair trade rules on poor farmers in the developing world. Oxfam is working to make trade fair and lift people in the developing world out of poverty.

Half the world’s population is living on less than $2 a day.

If Africa, East Asia, South Asia, and Latin America were to each increase their share of world trade exports by one per cent, the gains in income could lift 128 million people out of poverty.

All profits from Make Trade Fair Live will go to Oxfam.
