Meet Encore, Hot New Rapper And Watch His Video

Born in Palo Alto and raised in Milpitas, Encore enjoyed b-boying and reveled in getting his hands on the hottest new hip hop music as a teen. That’s when Encore decided he wants to be a rapper and is now a hotly tiped artist to be huge.

Encore’s talent shines through in his music. His persistence in balancing art with professionalism has helped him hone his craft, leaving little room for doubt that Layover, his album now out in stores, will fly high with the masses.

‘I don’t make music to be a good Bay Area record, or just to make a good rap record for that matter. I’m trying to make a good record, period.’

His single, Real Talk is being heavily requested and you may watch what the fuss is all about below as I’ve managed to get the video to Real Talk. Brilliant stuff this.

On a Kwest For Success

Steve, Simon, and Tyler are Kwest, a boyband hoping for success this year, and to prove their genre isn’t a dying breed. This is the story of 3 singer-songwriters with the talent, determination, and infectious songs that should lead them ever closer to their dreams.

Three years ago three young guys, from very different backgrounds got together to form what would become an exciting Urban/Pop act. Steve, Tyler, and Simon knew each other from previously projects and blended together perfectly to produce Kwest.

Since forming they have been hard at work in the studio, writing and producing with some well-known industry types who have previously worked with the likes of Big Brovaz and the Sugababes. The end result was an infectious blend of soulful harmonies, memorable lyrics, and spine-tingling music. Listen out for pop, soul, R&B, drum n bass, and rock as it’s all part and parcel of the Kwest sound.

Some of their favourite songs include the up-tempo Deep Down, and the more laid-back I’m Movin On’. They’ve also recently recorded a dark, mysterious club tune, Trapped In A Rhythm, and the Indie tinged ‘Miles To Go’.These songs, and many more have been playing out to thousands of fans over the past three years @ theatre, club, and roadshow events where they have performed alongside chart acts and new talent alike. Recent appearances include the Popshow Showcase Night in London and the Luton Carnival. In their spare time they even represented UK musicians in the National IQ test on t.v, built up a fanbase and appeared on many print/online publications.

And not forgetting 2003, which was an unforgettable year for the band as they supported Westlife on their Greatest Hits tour, an ‘AMAZING’ experience for the band, and just a hint of what’s to come in the future.

Singer / Actor Eric West revealed to UK’s Music Week that he would love to work with the likes of Kanye West, Fergie, Janet Jackson, Dilated Peoples, Usher, Madonna, BT and Alejandro Sanz.

Speaking exclusively with Music Week yesterday, the model turned singer explained ‘My album “Half Life” was pretty much finished, a few things shifted the release date, two movies, modeling, during my breaks I began writing new songs that I seriously love. I feel that the more time we put into the album, the better it will be.”

Rumors are spreading about Eric appearing in the upcoming untitled Lindsay Lohan and Nick Cannon flick. Eric will appear in Lords Of Dogtown in summer 05.’Acting is something I never planned on doing anytime soon, my brother thought it would be a good idea’ said West, ‘It was a good move, the phone has been ringing a lot lately,’ added West.

Eric also stated he would love to work with Kanye West, Fergie, Janet Jackson, Dilated Peoples, Usher, Madonna, BT and Alejandro Sanz, Eric said: ‘I really admire Kanye’s work, I listen to his album when I’m working out. Fergie has been a friend of mine for nearly 8 years, I’m going to give her a call and see if she’ll be up to appearing on a remix to my first single ‘Can’t Be Friends’. Janet Jackson is an icon, I’ve been honored to meet her a few times, working with her would be amazing, though I don’t think Jermanie Dupri will like me being around his girl. I recently met Madonna, and told her I’d like to work with her, but who wouldn’t want to work with Janet or Madonna? They are the greatest female artist of my time’.

The full interview will appear in Music Week. His debut album “Half Life” is due early 2005.

Usher And Alicia Keys Cannot Knock Off Ciara

Usher’s hit ballad with Alicia Keys, My Boo still hasn’t managed to displace Ciara’s Goodies at the top of the American singles chart.

The Crunk&B hit which ruled the Billboard charts last month is enjoying a seventh week at the top after keeping My Boo from taking the number one spot for a third successive week.

Ciara’s next single is apparently something called 1 2 Step with Missy Elliott.
