Having conquered the worlds of music and movies, Eminem has his sights set on video games.

The first title from his deal with Conspiracy Entertainment, is one entitled “Mix TV Presents: Eminem” and it’s expected to debut on next week at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles.

The small games company has secured rights to publish interactive properties across multiple platforms featuring the rap artist.

“This is the first in a line of fan-appreciation titles that we’ll ship under the ‘Mix TV’ brand,” Conspiracy marketing director Vince Matthews said. “We’re positioning the brand as a fan-appreciation product.”

The game features four music videos, including “My Name Is” and “The Real Slim Shady” as well as bonus features and interactive elements featuring Eminem. Conspiracy will ship both a teen-rated version of the game, which will have radio-edit versions of the songs, and a adult-rated version with the uncut material.

In addition to the initial game, Conspiracy is collaborating with Eminem on ideas for the first next-generation video game under the deal. Matthews said ideas for the game include possibly turning “The Slim Shady Show” animated cartoon into a 3-D action video game in time for a release in late 2004.

Cheeky Girls Don’t Like TATU Comparisions

Model-esque twins, the Cheeky Girls have lashed out at the Russian lesbian duo, TATU claiming that TATU’s whole racy shenanigans are nothing but a silly act.

Talking to the press, Gabriela and Monica said “They are such silly fakes. That whole lesbian thing is so made up and an act put together by their manager. Everyone knows it and we really can’t stand it when people compare them to us. Essentially, it’s not right to compare them to us. Why would people do that? Nasty. Don’t do that ever please.”

The bum-shaking sisters continued, saying “We prefer to have a nice image and have our mum write our songs. We would never do anything tacky like that.”

Right. Anyway, the Cheeky Girls are still proving to be really popular with the masses after their sophomore number “Take Your Shoes Off” gave them a No 3 hit on the English charts.

Robbie Williams To Make The Village People Movie

Robbie Williams has his eyes set on playing the gay cowboy in a film about hit ’70s band, The Village People.

The singer has offered GBP700,000 for the movie rights, provided he gets artisitic control of the project, according to press details.

Reportedly, Robbie told a friend “The Village People were icons. They defined disco and their story is amazing. It will make a great movie”.

An film industry source said “Ever since Moulin Rouge, The Guru and Chicago, every studio in Hollywood wants to do a musical, so Robbie won’t have a hard time getting this movie financed.”

“Studio executives are sold on the idea of a Village People movie.”

Robster is hoping to play the cowboy role made famous by Randy Jones, who sang on the hits “In The Navy” and “YMCA”.

Robbie added “They may be gay and I have gay tendencies so the way I see it I think I’d do a good job of making this flick. They were great entertainers too and their story deserves to be told, so I’ll tell it.”

Edinburgh’s MTV EMA May See Kylie, Norah Jones And More Appearing

Scotland’s Edinburgh has officially been named as the host of one of the world’s biggest and most talked about showbiz events.

This year’s MTV Europe Music Awards will be held at the Ocean Terminal in Leith, Edinburgh.

Press details have been coming in that state Kylie Minogue will be penciled in to perform at the awards. Other artistes performing or showing up will be revealed in due course but as it stands now, insiders say that possiblities include Norah Jones, Madonna, Kelis, Girls Aloud, Emma Bunton, One True Voice, Evanescence and Will Young, among a whole list of others.

The event will take place in November this year and is expected to attract thousands of visitors, in the process placing Scotland firmly in the international spotlight.

First Minister Jack McConnell said “This is a fantastic opportunity, not just for the city, but for Scotland, to show the world why we are a major force in hosting top class events.”

Apparently, according to sources, Sarah Whatmore and Gareth Gates have already heard a sneak preview of the forthcoming Hayley Evetts’ solo debut offering.

Hayley Evetts has decided that for her first solo single, she will attempt a dance number and it has been described as “a dance version of a famous 80s ballad”. No one’s telling what the title is yet but reportedly, Gareth was overheard saying that she plans to release it this summer.

Meanwhile, Hayley Evetts is reportedly coming back on board to help present the new series of Pop Idol 2. As for Sarah, she is busy wrapping up the recording of her debut album, ‘Living Proof’ and is also due for summer.

Victoria brings Brooklyn to school

SINGAPORE (SOUNDBUZZ) – Spice Girl Victoria Beckham’s eldest son Brooklyn has started school in England confounding speculation the family are planning to move abroad.

The Beckhams have been at the centre of furious speculation that the sportsman is planning to transfer to a high profile club abroad. But a friend of the couple believes the family are unlikely to leave anytime soon since Brooklyn has just enjoyed his first day at school. The pal says, “The first time Victoria dropped him off she had tears in her eyes, her boy looked so smart in his uniform, but he’s still her baby. It was hard for her to leave him at the gates, although he was really into it, giggling and smiling.”

“I think people assume life’s a doddle for her and David but like any other parent, they spent ages pouring over prospectuses of many schools. But the couple have chosen well and Brooklyn is settling in beautifully.”
