Robbie Williams is plotting a duet with Eminem, according to press reports that have emerged one by one, and it’s all in a bid to crack the American music market.
“It will be the perfect partnership. They have mutual respect for each other” an executive on Robbie’s US label revealed.
“Eminem is the world’s biggest artist at the moment and a duet will catapult Robbie to the final level-making it in the US. They’re both talented artists and it will be a very exciting project.”
Five For Fighting will soon enter the studio to record the follow-up to its 2000 release, ‘America Town’, featuring the single, ‘Superman (It’s Not Easy)’. Group mastermind John Ondrasik tells a webpage that he hopes the next album will have more of a collaborative feel.
“I think it’s gonna be a little more groovy. You know, the last record was basically me sitting by myself with an acoustic guitar or sitting at a piano. It was very singer-songwriter. And even though, you know, obviously songs, and my singing will be a big element of any record I do, it’s much more of a band record. I’m making this record with a band and not a bunch of hired guys or session guys.”
Vanessa Carlton talked the other day about her relationship with her A&M Records label. “Being on a major label has been very beneficial for me” she said.
“I’ve obviously gotten way more exposure. It’s a powerhouse label, so it’s basically just broadened my fanbase and broadened my horizons. We have a very good relationship.”
As for a follow-up full-length release on the label, the hitmaker revealed “I get a break a little in January and then I go to Europe and then I’ll start recording in the springtime. I think I’ve been writing some of the best material I’ve written so far, so I keep growing as a writer, and it really just kind of is expanding my palette of sounds, and it’s really exciting.”
Jennifer Lopez revealed exclusively that she finds it ridiculous that people thought she was having an affair with Ralph Fiennes while filming Maid In Manhattan, because she says that she is far too professional to sleep with co-stars.
“In essence, I’ve done a lot of movies and I haven’t ever been involved with one of my co-stars” J Lo insisted. “Even during the makings of Gigli, my Ben and I just worked together.”
“I am someone who doesn’t have any trouble keeping it strictly professional. Ralph is obviously a very handsome and appealing man, but I didn’t touch it.”
Heidi Klum and Red Hot Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis were spotted kissing in a cafe on Sydney’s Bondi Beach. Heidi later wrapped her long legs around Anthony’ silver Harley-Davidson motorcycle and toured the city.
This is less than a week after the model announced the end of her marriage to hair stylist Ric Pipino. “Heidi and Ric hadn’t lived together in months” says Heidi’s pal. “She met Anthony just a few weeks ago.”
While Anthony and his band tour Australia and Asia, Heidi is in Venice to shoot a Victoria’s Secret campaign.
Mark Owen thinks old Take That bandmate Robbie Williams’ new album ‘Escapology’ is dull.
He revealed “I quite like a lot of it but I sat there and sat there waiting for it to end. It’s just too long and boring. Plus add to that, way dull actually. Sad.”
“I reckon it’s a bit all over the place as well.”
Melanie C has announced that the first single from her upcoming brand-spanking new album, ‘Reason’, will be ‘Here It Comes Again’ and it is all set to be released on the 24th of February.
The track will get its first radio play come the 10th of January but you’ll be able to hear an exclusive preview on her official website on the 6th of January.

Brandy’s husband Robert Smith spoke recently to a webzine about how the couple has been helping write songs for other artists, including Toni Braxton and Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland.
“Brandy writes on pretty much everything I do” Robert said. “She’s an incredible writer. Basically, she just found out. She just tapped into it, from just playing around, you know, with me.”
“In essence, I was like, ‘You’re majorly talented.’ She’s just an incredible writer. She’s remarkable.”
A guitarist from an upcoming band was overheard saying that that he reckons Christina Aguilera is just garnering attention with all that slut clothes and cosmetics and is definitely not a nasty lady.
“I think it’s all publicity. I guess if you’re in that position of having popularity, at least in a pop sense, you have to change what you’re doing or else people will forget about you.”
“I also think she’s doing it to have a comeback, trying to be really nasty. I’m not sure if it’s working.”
He added “She’s probably not nasty. I don’t know really. She hasn’t had sex with me yet, so she’s not nasty enough.”

Shakira revealed that her success has allowed people to see her home country of Colombia as a cosmopolitan, cultural nation, not a haven for drug lords and guerrillas.
As she puts it, there are people who “still think we move around on horses or donkeys.” She explained “We’ve been having a very musical decade. It’s a very small country, but very rich in folklore and culture and artistic talent.”
“I’m proud of people like Carlos Vives and Juanes. In a way, they’re ambassadors of what Colombians really are.”
Meanwhile, according to informants, Shakira was shaking her behind so much during her song ‘Fool’ at the Miami arena last week that her leather pants split.
“She finished the song and then ran off the stage” a informant revealed. Then later at a post-concert party at Ibiza, she caused a “near riot” when her breast popped out of her shirt as she danced atop a booth.
“The crowd went crazy” the informant said. “The fire marshals were called and a police escort had to get Shakira out of there.”
