A word of caution before I begin though. Reading this write-up will most probably make one look at Britney and all associated with the Pop Princess in a totally different light altogether, “a negative light” if you will. It’ll affect Britney’s fans mostly actually.

The leading unofficial Britney Spears website has closed, with the webmaster, Ruben Garay, 19, critising Britney, her mother and the ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ singer’s people.

Attracting huge interest, not only from the media but the public as well for the last 18 or so months, www.worldofbritney.com closed on Sunday.Having established itself as a definitive source of all things Britney, the site now consists of a lengthy word essay, in which Ruben claims Britney is no longer the person she used to be and how little she actually cares about her fans. There’s also a part where he insists her mother Lynne should be ashamed of herself, and loads and loads more.

Here are some excerpts from the essay:

“Britney Spears is not the girl she used to be. The greatness, the power and the fame has changed her. I am tired of seeing her lip-synch. I am tired of seeing how she sometimes sees her fans in millions, instead of seeing them as individual human beings, but most of all, I’m tired of seeing how fake she has gotten.”

“My world does not revolve around making profits for something. I don’t get paid for what I do. I did this website from my heart and whenever I would do something that fans would love, such as put up a video or a song, the guys in suits would come and threaten to shut me down”.

On a personal note, I just pity the dude. Even though I’m not a fan of hers, looking at Britney will never be the same again.

Monday saw several rumours spreading across web portals, newspapers and radio shows concerning the relationship of Britney Spears & Justin Timberlake.

Sure, we care about them both – but do we really need to have the all the hype surrounding their state of affairs? Monday’s stories began when a “source” that was close to the couple leaked a rumour that the pair had split up a week ago. Britney’s record company helped to fan the flames by refusing to make any comments, leaving fans speculating about the truth.The afternoon draws on, and the gossip flies from mouth to mouth as if it were Britney’s latest product flying off the shelves. Finally, Britney ends up on MTV Italy to denounce that the rumours were simply not true, and that she and Justin are still together.

Pop sensation, Britney Spears, 20, who just recently had her stalker arrested for trespassing her property, has sweared that she’ll never ever be naked in a movie, no matter how much the part may demand it. The world famous virgin does have a love scene in her film ‘Crossroads’ but apparently the ‘Overprotected’ star only agreed to it on the condition she could keep her clothes on. In an interview recently done, Britney says “I just wouldn’t feel comfortable being completely naked in front of people. That’s totally against what I believe in.” Britney went, with her virgin boyfriend, Justin Timberlake in tow, to her solid big-screen premiere for her debut-acting role in the movie ‘Crossroads’. Fortunately for her, her movie avoided the box-office pitfalls that were notably encountered by some mega pop stars – think along the lines of Mariah Carey with ‘Glitter’ – when they cross over to film. ‘Crossroads’ was at No. 2 at the box-office weekend takings that currently stand at $14.6 million.

Meanwhile, ‘John Q’, starring Denzel Washington as a desperate dad who holds an emergency room hostage to secure a heart transplant for his dying son, took in $20.6 million and is ranked as the No.1 movie, according to studio estimates on Sunday. Disney’s animated ‘Return to Never Land’, a ‘Peter Pan’ sequel, opened in third place earning $11.8 million.

In her movie ‘Crossroads’, Britney plays an American teenager who takes a trip to Los Angeles with her two best girlfriends and her boyfriend to find her mother. When you catch the film, do keep a look out for the parts where Britney’s character loses her virginity and runs around in her knickers.

As we revealed earlier on Pop-Music.com, Britney Spears is set to appear in brand new Pepsi commercials during the finale of the American Football Season, at this Sunday’s Superbowl in New Orleans.

Television airtime during the Superbowl is the most expensive in US, and Pepsi are believed to have paid GBP5.7m (GBP63,000 a second) to screen the commercials.

Overprotected, the brand new single by Britney Spears, hits UK stores today.

The CD Single features the Album version, the JS16 remix and the Thunderpuss Mix Show Edit of “I’m A Slave 4 U”.

Britney arrived in London on Thursday for a quick two-day visit, during which time she’ll do several interviews, perfomances on Top Of The Tops, and the much-anticipated Frank Skinner chat-show.

Upon arriving in London she went on a shopping spree in Knightsbridge where she was looking at jewlery and clothes, and then went for a stroll in Hide Park – accompanied at all times by security guards.The interview with Frank Skinner is due to be aired on the UK’s ITV1 Network on Saturday 26th January at 9:35pm. Don’t miss it!

Meanwhile Monday 21 St January sees the release of Britney’s new single, “Overprotected”, in the UK.

Britney Spears will give her very first UK chat show interview late January. The pop babe, 20, is set to appear on ITV1 on comedian Frank Skinner’s show.

The show should be a lot of fun, especially after the way she performed in the US in Saturday Night Live. Frank Skinner had a number one hit in 1996 with song “Three Lions” – the England football song. So – could we see Frank and Britney doing a duet?
